The Bowers Museum

Charles Bowers was an Orange County land designer who contributed a plot of land to the city of Santa Ana. The Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum opened in 1936. It’s a terrific place to get a glimpse of the multi-cultural aspects of our world. 

The museum is a great location to have a look at the various cultures of the planet. 

Discovery Cube Orange County

The perfect spot to visit if you or your kids love learning about science. Discovery Cube Orange County has over 100 science interactive science shows. The center has a 10-floor cube covered in solar panels. 

Other areas worth exploring are Dynamic Earth, Quake Zonether, Air and Space, and Rocket Lab. Kids will have fun while learning new things. 

 The Kellogg House

Hiram Clay Kellog was born in 1855 and studied civil engineering. He designed the Kellogg House. The centerpiece of the structure is a three-story spiral staircase that has carvings of ships engraved. The house is open Wednesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. 

 Old Orange County Courthouse

It used to be known as the Santa Ana Count Courthouse, where it sits in the city’s historic Downtown District. It opened in 1901 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and acknowledged as a California Historical Landmark. Today, the court is a museum that has also appeared in many TV shows and motion pictures, such as American Horror Story. 

The Observatory OC

At the Observatory, you can catch live music. Many well-known bands and artists, as well as emerging ones, play at this venue. It’s more of an intimate concert setting, so you’ll see your favorite artists from a closer distance than you would if you were at a larger venue. The Observatory OC also features a bar area. 

Lyon Air Museum

Located near John Wayne Airport, the Lyon Air Museum was established by Major General William Lyon. The museum is home to many authentic World War II military airplanes, cars, and motorcycles. It’s a fascinating glimpse into military history. Some of the museum’s main attractions are a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Cessna O-1E Bird Dog, and a Douglas C-47 Skytrain.
